The Leffert UTV Trailer
Frisian Motors has added a new product to its lineup: an electrically tiltable UTV trailer.
The trailer is basically designed to be used with the electric Leffert transporter, but can also be used with any towing vehicle. If the trailer is purchased with or for a LEFFERT, it can be tipped electrically with a button on the dashboard. For individual sale, it is possible to place a 12v battery in the trailer, so that this can be used for tipping. The cart is equipped with a boogie axle. This ensures that there is always contact with the ground.

UMCG trauma helicopter stand
The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) has recently had a Leffert transporter at its Eelde location. This transporter with custom-made trailer was specially made for the emergency service. With its double axle, the trailer is sturdier and can carry extra weight.
Among other things, this Leffert is used to maintain the helicopter pad in good condition. The helicopter must be able to take off and land safely, so proper maintenance is absolutely important and the Leffert contributes to this.

Blue city car
As part of the 2018 Elfwegentocht - organized by the Freonen fan Fryslân - this blue city car was built. This electric transporter features an extra-large battery pack, increasing its range to approximately 200 kilometers maximum. In addition, this Leffert has special tires for road use instead of the usual coarse tires for off-road use.
This Leffert will be used in downtown Leeuwarden during 2019 for promotional purposes.

Hydrogen car in partnership with Friese Poort
There are several techniques for moving a vehicle forward. One of these new alternative techniques is hydrogen. By combining our knowledge with the students of the Friese Poort in Drachten, we have made a Leffert with a range extender based on hydrogen. This Leffert has the standard battery pack and this pack can be recharged by the hydrogen installation in the trailer. This allows a longer range at minimal emissions and thus fits perfectly with Frisian Motors.
Extended cargo box
Leffert FM-80 Cargo Lithium
On Tuesday, July 1 was the unveiling of the Frisian Eco Car. This Eco Car was built by the students of ROC Friese Poort with the knowledge and help of specialist companies, such as Frisian Motors and VABO Composites. ROC Friese Poort Centrum Duurzaam made the innovation workshop available and supports the project with the purchase of materials and the guidance of teachers.
Frisian Motors' undercarriages were chosen as the basis for the Eco-Car. The students are developing a new superstructure using composite material.
The Frisian Eco-Car innovation project is part of a larger project: Ecocity 058. In 2018, Leeuwarden will attract millions of additional visitors. Leeuwarden and the province of Friesland not only want to treat them to culture but also showcase the entrepreneurship and innovative power of the Frisian capital. Friesland is a frontrunner in the field of sustainable energy and technology and visitors should definitely see and experience that as well. An extensive program of electric transport along sustainable projects is part of Leeuwarden's activities as European Capital of Culture 2018.
