Lithium batteries in FM vehicles
Frisian Motors has a long-standing commitment to innovation and sustainability within the electric vehicle industry. A key aspect of their ongoing commitment to improvement is the integration of lithium batteries in all of their vehicles (an option in the FM-40). This strategic choice illustrates not only their commitment to providing high-quality products, but also to reducing the carbon footprint of transportation. With lithium batteries as the energy source, Frisian Motors vehicles not only offer impressive performance, but also a significantly longer service life. They are specially designed for our electric vehicles to get the best out of the vehicle. Lithium batteries last up to 4 times longer than AGM lead-acid batteries and come with a standard two-year warranty. Lithium batteries represent a new step in electric transportation. As of January 2024, all of our vehicles will come standard with lithium batteries.

Lighter and comfortable ride
Where multiple batteries were connected in the past it is now one big battery. On the entire vehicle, it saves over 200 kilograms(Leffert Series). This also gives the vehicle more payload capacity. Lithium provides better handling and performance.

Greater radius of action possible
Our lithium system is a modular system. The customer can put together his own desired range from 60 km to as much as 100km per charge. The standard lithium battery pack has a range of approximately 60 km, in addition 75 and 100 km range is also possible.

Up to four times longer lifespan
The standard AGM battery loses its power in about 400 to 500 charge cycles and becomes less in range every year as it goes through its service life. A lithium battery can last up to 3,000 charging cycles and retains much of its capacity until its end.

Standard two-year warranty
Because this is advanced technology and the battery has onboard electronics (BMS) that protects itself from external problems such as over-voltage, under-voltage and short circuits, the user can expect longer life and the batteries come with a two-year warranty from the factory.

Fast loading without any problems
Lithium, unlike lead, is very suitable for fast charging, the standard charging time can easily be reduced from 6 hours to 2 hours. If properly connected to the mains.
