Mission

Despite the fact that Frisian Motors is fundamentally a technical company, after the development and production of a model we have the role as an assembly manufacturer. Together with a nationwide network of dealers, we supply end users and are happy to provide anyone with correct advice and support. We also provide customization if required. Because of the good relations with the manufacturers and our own engineering department, we can also offer an excellent affordable solution on the basis of a few pieces. At Frisian Motors, quality comes first and a deal is a deal, a typically Frisian or down-to-earth approach.

Over 15 years of experience

History

Frisian Motors was founded in 2010. As an enthusiastic group of engineers, we had long been fascinated by the rise of electric transportation. Those who delve into the technology will certainly agree that electric is the future. " Electricity " is easy to transport and manage. Energy storage is also becoming faster and more efficient. Given the rise of all-electric cars, there is certainly a trend and thus awareness is emerging for environmental improvement. Although it will be several years before a fully mature electric car is available to everyone, we have specialized in affordable solutions that simply offer many practical benefits in addition to the environmental aspect.

After a long search of all possibilities at home and abroad, we saw the unique opportunity to come up with a concept together with a number of foreign factories in order to work together on this challenge. By keeping most of the design and engineering in-house, but outsourcing the production, we are able to deliver high quality products at comparable pricing to the fuel models. Frisian Motors keeps control and is responsible for the final product.

Warranty & Service

All of our products have a standard 12-month extended warranty. At an additional cost, this can be extended to 24 or 36 months. This warranty applies to parts and repair hours. Parts are usually not repaired but replaced immediately with a new one.

The warranty and service takes place from our location in Bakkeveen, if necessary we can provide you with a pick-up and drop-off service at acceptable rates. Weekly we have fixed transport times throughout the country. No matter where you bought your product, if for any reason your dealer cannot take care of the warranty or repair, you can always fall back on Frisian Motors BV.

TÜV certified

Technology & quality

The technology we use in our products comes mostly from European soil and is tried and tested in practice. We also have a large say in the design and practicality of our products. Matters such as testing and certification we have arranged directly in consultation with, for example, bodies such as the RDW (National Road Transport Authority) and TUV (Technischer Überwachungs Verein). We make use of various battery and controller technologies and look at each product type to see what price and performance ratio is needed. All product types are tested at length in the "field" before introduction to end users. Based on the feedback, improvements are made if necessary.

Less CO2 emissions

Better for the environment

We are often asked whether electrically powered vehicles are better for the environment. After all, the electricity it consumes must first be generated again, and that also costs energy. We have an objective and clear answer to that: in our opinion, the advantage lies in centralization. By this we mean that at the moment every normal car has its own combustion engine with the accompanying emission of gases and consumption of energy (fuel). Basically the same principle as, say, a large coal-fired power plant that generates electricity but then centrally for multiple users. However, this coal-fired power plant is much more efficient in its use of the required energy and uses residual energy, such as released heat, which is also converted back into electricity. The emission of gases is also kept to a minimum by strict regulations and is continuously monitored, unlike a car that pollutes more and more as it gets older and only uses the residual energy in winter (the warm stove). Also, you see more and more sustainable ways to generate electricity. If you use Green electricity or solar panels, you can start making a serious environmental improvement today.
